The North West International Youth Tour was held over the last Bank holiday(25-27th May). Max Spedding, Nicole Clark and Andrew Clarke all competed in the events. The Litherland circuit league was held on Wednesday (22/5). Jack Hulme was 3rd in the Youth A boys category, Louise Colyer 1st in the girls Youth A category (only girl) and Jeff Vernon 6th in the 2/3/4 category. Results can be found here.

The TLI Steve Jones Memorial Race (organised by Graham Weigh Cycles) was held on the Saighton circuit on the 19/5/2013. In the under 45s category, Brad Smith was 1st, Mike Garner 2nd and Jeff Vernon 5th. In the same category, Keith Jones won the bunch sprint. Results of the under 45s race can be found here.

The TLI National Criterium Championships were held at Marsh Tracks on Saturday (18/5). BNECC rider, Jeff Vernon, won the B category event – for results click here. For full race report click here.

The Welsh National Mountain Bike championships (and 4th round of the Welsh MTB series) was held on Sunday (19/5). Rob Rogers was 1st junior after taking an early lead. Craig Rogers was a clear 2nd in the under 14s race. Nicole Clarke won the under 12 girls event.

The 2nd round of the CDNW Youth Road Race Series was held in Preston on Saturday (18/5). In the under 12s races Nicole Clarke was 10th (second girl) and 4th (first girl). Andrew Clarke in the under 8s race was 4th and 3rd.

A number of BNECC members took part in the races at Litherland on Wednesday. Max Spedding won the A category boys event with Jack Hulme 3rd. Louise Colyer was the 1st girl in category A (only girl in this category). Charlie Byrne was 3rd in the Youth E boys category. Jeff Vernon was 7th in the 2/3 race.

The Macclesfield Wheelers Evening Road Race was held on Tuesday (14/5) around the Siddington circuit (3 laps – 33 miles). BNECC riders Mike Garner and Keith Jones took part in the under 40s race with Scott Smith in the 40+ race. Mike Garner got away in the last mile of the under 40s race with another rider and got second place, with Keith Jones winning the bunch sprint for 3rd place. Scott Smith was 6th in the 40+ race.

The Steve Gutteridge Memorial LVRC road race organised by the Liverpool Century was held on Sunday (12/5) around the Saighton circuit. Brad Smith was 4th in the A&B race with Scott Smith gaining 9th place. Results can be viewed by clicking here.

The postponed third round of the Dolan school races was held on Saturday (11/5). Max Spedding won the super A race in convincing fashion by jumping away from the bunch and gaining a 1 minute advantage. Jack Hulme was 2nd in the race outsprinting the 3rd placed rider. Andrew Clarke gained 5th place in the Youth E category (unders 8s).
