Time Trials

Every year, the club hosts many time trials throughout the season. Our traditional early season event, the Hilly 22, takes place at Easter; whilst our flagship TT, the Jackie Mac Memorial 25, takes place at the end of June each year. To complement these ‘Open’ events, we also usually host a series of midweek evening ’10s’, and our annual Boardman 5 series each August, now held in memory of the event co-founder, the late Carol Boardman.

Despite the Coronavirus Pandemic, 2020 saw the club still manage to host 5 Time Trials, with 2 Evening 10s at Saighton and 3 of the Willaston-based Boardman 5s. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, both our Hilly 22 and Jackie Mac Memorial 25 were cancelled for the 2020 season. 2021 has already seen us successfully run our Hilly 22 TT which also formed part of the WCTTCA League and the RTTC Merlin Cycles Classic Series. Also planned for 2021 is the Jackie Mac Memorial 25 in June, and our Boardman 5 series in August. Unfortunately, the 2021 Season will not see any Club 10s hosted by BNECC, with our event slots taken over by the lovely folks at Pirate Juice CC.
