JUNIOR TOUR OF WALES CYCLE RACE
An average speed of 28 mph was sustained for the 24 miles of stage 4 on Rassau industrial estate on Sunday afternoon with Matt Brammier of Team North West doing an epic ride on his own for over half of the race just holding off Irelands' Barry Woods and Michael Jolley.
A very tough race over some of the biggest climbs in Wales. Andrew Christie and Andrew Massey rode very well but finished mostly in the bunch.
Steve Light was team manager/masseur, Pete Scott was mechanic (Kirkby CC), Geoff Brandt was driver and Rob Pugh of Liverpool Century was our guest rider.
CHESTER RC 50
Jeff Vernon returned to time trialing at the beginning of September and finished 2nd in Chester RC 50 in 1.59.45. Pete Davies also did a very good ride in 6th place with 2.01.36. Unfortunately with no 3rd rider we missed out on the team prize.
