The 2007 Flintshire Challenge comprises 4 separate rides, and so offers something for everyone:

Off-road Events

• Sir y Fflint Mawr (50 miles) - a tough ride through the Clwydian hills, Moel Fammau and Moel Arthur. The route features scenic mountain tracks for which map reading and orienteering skills are required to navigate the unmarked way. Mountain bikes are considered advisable
• Sir y Fflint Bach (23 miles) - a moderate ride through the minor roads and tracks around the hills above Mold. Map reading and some orienteering skills are required to navigate the unmarked way. Some surfaces are rough.

Tourist Trials

• Bala Circuit (77 miles) - taking in Bala, Llyn Brenig and London Bridge. On-road map reading skills required. Suitable for road bikes
• Mold - Mills (40 miles) - going from Mold to the Eureka Café at Two Mills, Wirral, and returning. Some map reading skills required.

All rides start and finish at Mold Sports Centre, Mold, Flintshire. Click to see a map showing the Sports Centre. Start is between 8am and 10am. Finish is by 6pm.

Entry Fees

Please Note that entries will be limited to 650 this year so it is advisable to pre enter.
All events except the Mold-Mills ride have the same fee:

Entry fee includes basic course details and simple route map (OS maps advised); refreshments at Mold and en route; car park, toilets, showers and bike wash at Mold Sports Centre; and a commemorative item of the event for all finishers whether or not they complete the course.
